Current And Past Dental Terminology For D1900

Most common D1900 code reviews : Implant/abutment supported interim fixed denture for edentulous arch - maxillary - not covered, Scaling and debridement in the presence of inflammation or mucositis of a single implant, including leaning of the implant surfaces, without flap entry and closure or Accession of tissue, gross examination, preparation and transmission of written report.

D1900 Procedures:

Non-autogenous connective tissue graft procedure (including recipient surgical site and donor material) - each additional contiguous tooth, implant or edentulous tooth position in same graft site. Local anesthesia is usually considered a component part of periodontal procedures, but dependent upon the plan will allow up to 50% of D1900 - allow up to a maximum of 3 teeth per quadrant

D1900 Dental Code

Separation of one or more connections between abutments and/or pontics when some portion of a fixed rosthesis is to remain intact D1900 and serviceable following sectioning and extraction or other treatment Includes all recontouring and olishing of retained portions.

2019 D1900 CDT

Dental case management - patient education to improve oral health literacy. (Not covered service as opposed to when performed as follows: Disallowed when performed on same date of service as nutrition, tobacco counseling and/or oral hygiene instructions.)

2020 (Updated) Version D1900

Prefabricated esthetic coated stainless steel crown - primary tooth

Sealant repair - per tooth - This procedure is disallowed when performed by the same dentist/dental office based on the same time limitation that exists for replacement of a sealant. It is allowed at 50% of D1900 when performed by a different provider or if after the time limitation for the same dentist.
